Tabster Help Center
Tabster is how you easily split a restaurant bill with friends and pay back whoever put their card down.
Scan to split now or later - splitting a restaurant bill can take less than 60 seconds.
One person photographs the receipt. If they don’t have a photo, they can also paste a link to the receipt from the restaurant, email in the receipt, or manually add the receipt. Every line item comes back in a tappable interface, so the rest of the table claims what they ordered on their own phones. Six people split a bill in the time it takes one person to read it aloud. Every way of getting a bill in is covered in scanning and itemizing a receipt.
Tax and tip are apportioned to what each person claimed, which is the part an even split gets wrong. Whoever had a salad stops subsidising whoever had a steak and three drinks.
The people paying you back do not need the app or an account. They open a link, claim their items, and pay from whichever app they already use.
You can do the whole thing at the table, or leave it half done and finish it later — every claim is saved as it happens, so the receipt is exactly where the group left it. More on splitting a bill at the table or later.
If everyone had the same thing, splitting a bill evenly is quicker than claiming item by item. For a shared starter or a bottle of wine, see splitting appetizers or other shareables.
You can split a receipt right now — no account needed to try it.
