Splitting a bill at the table or later

You can settle a bill at the table or days later. Tabster is interactive and saves every claim or split, so as everyone in your group claims items and splits, the receipt progress is saved in realtime.

So you can either complete the entire payment back process in seconds right at the table, or save it for later on knowing the receipt will be exactly how the group left it.

Everyone claims on their own phone at the same time, so a table of six is not waiting on one person to read the bill aloud. You watch the totals move as people tap.

Half-finished is a normal state. If two people claim at dinner and the rest do it on the way home, the receipt is simply waiting when they open it — nothing expires and nothing resets.

Because the split is saved rather than calculated once and thrown away, the receipt still explains itself weeks later when somebody asks what they actually paid for. The receipt is kept indefinitely as a working, interactive document unless you or someone on the receipt decides to delete it.

If someone settles in cash or by bank transfer instead, mark it paid so the running tab matches what actually happened.
