Split trip expenses with your group
A trip collects every receipt from the whole group in one place — hotels, flights, dinners, the rental car — and keeps a running total of what each person paid against what they actually used.
Nothing is locked in until the end. When everyone is done claiming, Tabster nets the whole trip down to the fewest payments possible, so instead of a tangle of small debts each person sends or receives one amount.
How it works
Start the trip
Name it and add whoever is coming. Anyone on the trip can add bills and other expenses to it. Friends can add as they go or after the trip.
Everyone adds receipts
Photograph them as you go, or forward booking confirmations to the trip’s own email address. Each person claims their items across all, swipes to split items. From the trip page you can even swipe to split entire receipts.
Divvy up at the end
Tabster nets everything to one amount owed per pair of friends, to minimize transactions. Pay or request straight from the trip, or copy the breakdown to the group chat.
What a Tabster trip handles

Why divvying up at the end beats settling as you go
On a week away, paying each other back meal by meal means dozens of tiny transfers, and someone always forgets one. Waiting until the end and settling everything at once is simpler, but only if somebody is prepared to do the arithmetic. A Tabster trip does that part.
Every receipt and claim feeds one running difference per person, so at the end you get a short list of who pays whom — one payment each, rather than one per meal.
