Tabster Help Center
Tap to claim items and swipe to split. Any selections you make are automatically saved.
Claim only what you actually had. Your running total sits at the foot of the receipt and moves with every tap, so you can see your share before committing to anything.
Anything shared gets swiped rather than tapped — that opens the fraction picker so two of you can take half a starter each. Or if everyone who shared it taps, it will be split between the tappers evenly. The latter approach is easier if this item was an even split. However if you’re selecting 5/6 or some other strange fraction for the item, you should swipe to split.
Nothing is submitted, so there is no wrong order to do this in. Claim something by mistake and tap it again to release it.
You do not need to claim everything in one sitting. The receipt keeps your selections and stays exactly where you left it.
Tax and tip are added to your share in proportion to what you claimed, so the number at the bottom is the real amount you owe rather than a subtotal to adjust later — the detail is in splitting tax and tip on a shared bill.
When you are done, review your amount owed and settle up.
