Everyone creates an account to be added on the trip

Share the trip the same way you share a receipt: add Tabster friends directly, send the link, or have people scan the QR code.

Everyone on the trip can add receipts and claim their own items, so it does not all fall on whoever started it.

The only difference is you need a Tabster account in order to be added on a trip.

That account requirement is the one place a trip is stricter than a single receipt, where a guest can claim and pay from a link with no signup. A trip runs for days and everyone needs to be identifiable across every receipt in it, which a one-off guest session cannot do.

It is worth getting everyone in on the first day rather than the last. People add receipts as they go when the trip is already on their phone, and reconstructing a week from memory afterwards is exactly the work a trip is meant to remove.
