Viewing running differences owed in a trip

Open the trip at any point to see where everyone stands. Tabster nets what each person paid against what they claimed, so you get one running difference per person instead of a pile of separate debts.

On the trip page, the number under each person is the difference owed between you and them. Someone who paid for the villa and ate cheaply all week shows a large figure for what you owe them; someone who paid for nothing but joined every dinner shows a large amount for what they owe you. This is similar to the numbers at the top of the homepage, but calculated at just the trip level rather than across all your historical expenses with each friend.

It recalculates every time anyone adds a receipt or claims an item on the trip, so what you are looking at is always up-to-date.

This is the part that removes the mid-trip "are we square?" conversation. Anyone can check the trip themselves rather than asking whoever has been keeping track.

The numbers only settle once everyone has finished — see everyone claims their items and receipt shares and divvying up at the end of the trip.

A Tabster trip page with the running difference shown under each person — "you owe $468" highlighted beneath one member — above the trip’s receipts and how much of each is claimed.
