Tabster Help Center

Paying with Venmo, PayPal or Cash App

Tabster does not hold or move money. It works out what you owe and hands that off to whichever app your friend already gets paid on, so nothing is sitting in a balance waiting to be withdrawn.

How smooth that handoff is comes down to what each payment app permits in a link, which is outside Tabster’s control. The three groups below are the three levels of what is possible.

Opens with everything filled in

Venmo, PayPal, and Cash App open straight to your friend with the amount already entered — you just confirm and send.

Opens to your friend, amount copied

Revolut, Monzo, and Lydia open your friend's payment page, but their links can't carry an amount. Tabster copies the amount to your clipboard first, so you just paste it in.

Copy and paste

Zelle, Bizum, and Wise have no shareable payment link. Tabster shows your friend's details and the amount so you can copy each one and pay from your banking app.

After you pay through the above methods, the next time you go back to Tabster you will be prompted to mark the transaction as paid in Tabster. This keeps your running tab with each friend at the top of your homepage, and the status of the homepage cards that are Paid up-to-date for you. See how running tabs work in Tabster here.
